Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy has ordered a criminal investigation into the campaign of Rep. Mary Peltola. The move follows allegations from President Trump, who accused Peltola and national Democrats of recruiting spoiler candidates to influence the race.
Trump claimed The New York Times reported on the strategy but provided no evidence of a crime. Peltola's office has not yet commented on the investigation. The probe comes amid heightened political tensions in Alaska's special election.
