Piers Morgan has transformed from journalist provocateur to YouTube mogul with his Uncensored show boasting 4.4mn subscribers. In June, he raised $27mn from investors including Liz Murdoch, the Reuben brothers, Greece's Antenna Group, and Raine Ventures, valuing his media empire at $145mn. Morgan aims to build a billion-dollar group within five years after buying out Uncensored from Rupert Murdoch's Talk TV.

The Uncensored network now reaches 30mn active users weekly, generating 15mn video views across platforms. With 40% of his audience in the US, Morgan targets higher advertising revenue, noting "You get more money from American eyeballs." He has secured a "seven-figure deal" with Channel 5 for highlights packages and plans global expansion with other broadcasters, plus new verticals in music, sport, and crime.

Morgan sees YouTube as media's future, predicting print newspapers have "less than 10 years" and cable news audiences average age 70 versus his 45. He opposes UK government plans to prioritize BBC and Channel 4 on YouTube, calling it "arrogant elitist bullshit." His relationship with Trump — interviewed over 40 times — remains strong despite recent tensions over Iran policy.
