Palantir has raised its revenue forecast for the year, citing strong demand for its American-made AI software from US companies. The tech firm now expects full-year revenue of at least $8.15bn, with US commercial revenues projected at $3.4bn, both figures surpassing analyst expectations.

CEO Alex Karp highlighted the company's benefit from the drive for AI sovereignty, where nations and corporations aim to keep data within their borders. "The revolution for independence and AI sovereignty is now well under way," Karp stated, emphasizing partner demand for data control. This increased outlook boosted Palantir's shares by over 12% in after-hours trading.

The company also reported better-than-expected second-quarter earnings, with US sales climbing 23% to $1.57bn and net income reaching approximately $1.06bn. Karp differentiated Palantir from "language labs" like Anthropic and OpenAI, criticizing their "token industrial complex" and billing models. He asserted, "We do not get paid for clicks or tokens or chats."

While Palantir, founded after the September 11 attacks, positions itself as a defender of the West, its international business faces scrutiny. Palantir's business has become more concentrated in the US, with international customers accounting for roughly 19% of total revenue in the quarter, down from 26% in 2025. Notable deals include an agreement with law firm Kirkland & Ellis and a significant $10bn contract with the Pentagon.
