The Financial Times is launching a charity auction of its star journalists to mark the fifth anniversary of its Financial Literacy and Inclusion Campaign (FLIC). Ten journalists are offered in the first phase, with a second phase planned for spring. Roula Khalaf, the FT’s editor, heads the roster. The lunches will be hosted at top restaurants in London and New York, provided free of charge.

She is joined by Martin Wolf, chief economics commentator; Gideon Rachman, chief foreign affairs commentator; columnists Gillian Tett, Ed Luce, Rana Foroohar, John Burn‑Murdoch and Stephen Bush; and investigative reporter Dan Mc Crum.

A special bonus lot features Henry Mance, writer of the weekend “Lunch with the FT” column; the winning bidder receives a personalised write‑up and portrait in addition to lunch.

Each lot runs until the end of October unless a “buy it now” price is met. Proceeds will accelerate FLIC’s schools programme across the UK, a new adult programme, and an international partnership in India. Patrick Jenkins, FT deputy editor and FLIC chair, announced the auction. Bids open today at ft.com/auction.
