Banijay Entertainment has established its new global headquarters in London following its $8 billion merger with All3Media. The combined entity becomes the world's largest independent television producer, boasting over 170 production and live-events companies across 25 countries. This move reinforces London's position as a major hub for the entertainment industry, attracting significant international investment and talent.

The deal, which unites Banijay's Paris base with Red Bird IMI-owned All3Media, is projected to generate over €4.3 billion in combined revenues and achieve €50 million in cost savings within a year. Executives, including Banijay CEO Marco Bassetti and Red Bird IMI's Jeff Zucker, who will chair the new venture, see the merger as a strategic response to industry consolidation and the need for greater scale.

This consolidation mirrors broader trends in the media sector, with other major deals like Sky's acquisition of ITV's broadcasting unit signaling a shift towards larger, integrated players. The expanded Banijay group, with a vast content library and live event capabilities, is positioned for further growth, with potential future listings being considered.
