Wynn Resorts Ltd. announced its first Middle Eastern casino, the Wynn Al Marjan Island resort in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, is now slated to open in September 2027. The project's opening was previously set for earlier in the same year. Construction faced a temporary halt due to the US conflict with Iran, leading to an increase in project costs.

Wynn confirmed that the construction expenses will rise by an additional $600 million. This escalation is attributed to higher costs for materials and shipping. The resort's budget had most recently been estimated at $5.1 billion. Wynn holds a 40% stake in the development, with partners owning the remaining 60%. The resort is situated on Al Marjan Island, a man-made archipelago.

The project signifies a major expansion for Wynn into the burgeoning Middle Eastern market, aiming to attract international clientele. Despite the setbacks and increased costs, the company remains committed to the September 2027 opening, signaling confidence in the region's tourism and entertainment potential.
