Vox Telecom SA and Frogfoot Networks Ltd., units of the Vivica Group, raised 14.4 billion rand ($900 million) to expand broadband services in South Africa. Hypa Fibre Ltd., a unit of Vox, also participated in the fundraising. Chief Executive Officer Kenny Motha stated the capital will support growth in the continent's biggest economy.

The deal included 8.4 billion rand in equity funding and 6 billion rand of debt. This investment highlights increasing demand for connectivity infrastructure across the region.
