Trump Allies Eye $1.8B Bosnia Infrastructure Push

Former Trump associates Jesse Binnall and Joseph Flynn are pursuing a $1.8 billion infrastructure investment in Bosnia through their company AAFS Infrastructure and Energy. The venture includes developing international airports in Sarajevo and Mostar, building gas power plants, and constructing a key natural gas pipeline connecting Bosnia to Europe.

AAFS has already secured a €300 million contract to build a critical pipeline that will reduce Bosnia's dependence on Russian gas. The US embassy in Sarajevo supported their bid, and the project passed parliament with overwhelming approval. The pipeline, expected to begin operations by 2028, represents a significant shift in the country's energy security.

The investment comes as Trump-linked figures expand their business interests in the Balkans. AAFS plans to invest €250 million in Sarajevo airport and €50 million in Mostar airport, financed through company capital and US financial institutions. The projects aim to bring stability to Bosnia's divided political landscape while positioning the country for potential EU membership.
