Emerging-market stocks rose, led by a rally in Asian chipmakers, as Bloomberg Terminal data showed upbeat AI infrastructure results reviving tech appetite.

MSCI’s benchmark for EM equities climbed 1.1% by 10:35 a.m. in London, with Samsung Electronics Co., SK Hynix Inc., and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. lifting the index. The equivalent gauge for currencies edged 0.1% higher as the dollar slipped versus most major peers.

Developing‑nation currencies were mixed before the release of US inflation data later in the session. South Africa’s rand and Hungary’s forint led gains, while Indonesia’s rupiah and the South Korean won lagged.

Traders remain alert to the upcoming US CPI report, which could shift the momentum in both equities and currencies.
