Compass Inc. shares surged as much as 15% in post-market trading, driven by news that cost savings from the acquisition of competitor Anywhere are progressing ahead of schedule. CEO Robert Reffkin announced that Compass achieved its initial target of $300 million in actioned cost savings within the first seven months post-acquisition, surpassing expectations.

Consequently, the company has raised its actioned net cost synergy target for the first year to $330 million. Looking ahead, Compass now anticipates realizing $220 million in net cost savings for the year 2026.
