Colombia is taking steps to resume natural gas imports from Venezuela, Energy Minister Edwin Palma announced. The move signals a potential thaw in energy cooperation between the two neighboring countries after years of strained relations. Colombia's energy ministry is working on regulatory frameworks to facilitate cross-border gas flows, which could help address domestic supply constraints.

Venezuela holds some of the world's largest natural gas reserves, while Colombia has faced periodic supply shortages in recent years.
