National League Weather & AL Game Action
The opening game of the Dodgers-Rockies series was immediately impacted by severe weather, as a mid-April storm dumped three inches of snow onto Coors Field just before first pitch in Denver. Meanwhile, in American League play, the Yankees secured a 4-2 victory over the opposition Friday evening, largely thanks to a late-inning blast. Ryan McMahon provided the decisive blow, launching a go-ahead, two-run homer in the eighth inning after entering the game as a defensive replacement having spent most of the contest practicing in the batting cage.
