MLB Opening Day News
The Texas Rangers will send Nathan Eovaldi espn.com to the mound for Opening Day, continuing a tradition of relying on the veteran right-hander who posted a career-best 1.73 ERA in 22 starts last season. Eovaldi's selection marks his third consecutive Opening Day start for Texas, underscoring the organization's confidence in his ability to set the tone for a team with World Series aspirations. The 34-year-old's durability and postseason experience make him an ideal choice to face the defending champion Dodgers in what promises to be a high-profile season opener.
