### Hurricanes Eye Sweep as Series Shifts to Philadelphia

The Hurricanes look to take a commanding 3-0 series lead Thursday night when Game 3 shifts to Philadelphia. Carolina dominated the first two games in Raleigh, though the Flyers jumped out to a 2-0 first-period lead in Game 2 before ultimately falling in overtime. Seth Jarvis tied it with his first playoff goal at 11:21 of the third period, and Taylor Hall's third of the postseason won it at 18:54 of OT. Hall's six-game point streak sets a Hurricanes/Whalers record for longest playoff-opening run, while Jarvis notched his 20th career playoff goal, becoming just the third player in franchise history to reach that milestone.

The Flyers have managed just one power-play goal in 11 chances through two games and haven't scored more than two goals since Game 3 of the first round. Goalie Dan Vladar made 40 saves in the loss but is just 1-6-1 with a 3.47 GAA in eight career starts versus Carolina. Injured forwards Noah Cates (out for the series in a walking boot) and Owen Tippett haven't helped the cause, leaving Philadelphia's top six shorthanded. The Hurricanes are now 18-1-1 in their past 20 games against the Flyers including playoffs.

Philadelphia owns an all-time record of 9-9 in Game 3 when trailing 2-0 in a best-of-seven, with a 4-3 mark when hosting. They've completed the comeback three times historically, but the Hurricanes are clicking on all cylinders. Frederik Andersen has allowed two or fewer goals in six straight postseason games, and Carolina can reach three consecutive playoff series wins for the first time in franchise history.
