GISBox stands out as a lightweight, all-in-one solution with a 200 MB install and free server for WebGIS development. QGIS, the open-source option, provides high extensibility through plugins. Global Mapper excels at multi-source data integration, handling hundreds of formats for LiDAR and terrain analysis.
