Rotating Proxy Evaluation Lab for Scraping

A new open-source mini-lab lets developers test rotating residential proxies in under 90 minutes. The Python harness, built with httpx, logs JSONL records to prove rotation, sticky sessions, and pool collisions under concurrency. It generates a ramp-and-soak report and calculates CP1K cost metrics for a clear comparison between providers.

Developers must define success beyond a simple HTTP 200, setting a hard request budget and stop conditions for high 403/429 rates or latency spikes. The lab uses an easy IP echo endpoint and a defended target matching production pain, like price monitoring, to simulate real-world scraping and monitoring workflows.

The tool outputs evidence like rotation uniqueness, collision rates, and p95 latency drift, helping teams choose between providers like MaskProxy. This moves proxy selection from marketing claims to data-driven decisions, focusing on operational stability and cost efficiency for production pipelines.
