Historically, the tournament began as the Women’s Home Nations in 1996, expanded to the Five Nations in 1999, and became the Six Nations in 2002 after Italy replaced Spain in 2007. England dominate with 21 titles, 19 Grand Slams, and 25 Triple Crowns, winning the last seven tournaments. France, inaugural winners in 2002, have six titles and five Grand Slams. Ireland claimed the trophy in 2013 and 2015, while Scotland won the 1998 Home Nations. Wales and Italy remain title-less, though Italy’s 2025 performance marked their best finish.
