Wigan Warriors dismantled Hull KR 40‑10 at Wembley in a scorching final to claim their 22nd Challenge Cup. The victory featured a try from Bevan French on his first appearance since a March hamstring tear, capping a dominant display. Jack Farrimond opened the scoring with a solo effort and added a second, while Adam Keighran contributed two tries and six conversions for the club.

Hull KR stayed within touching distance after Peta Hiku’s double before halftime, but a foot injury to stand‑off Mikey Lewis limited their response. In the second half Wigan surged, with Junior Nsemba’s try and Keighran’s back‑to‑back scores widening the gap to 30 points. Luke Thompson added a late try, sealing the rout as the Warriors finished with twelve men following Sam Walters’ tackle on Bill Leyland.

Both the men’s and women’s squads lifted Challenge Cups on the same day, a feat not achieved since 2023. The win restores Wigan to trophy‑winning form after their 2025 quadruple and narrows Hull KR’s chance at a treble, leaving the Robins still two points behind league leaders Leeds with a game in hand.
