Kent pulled off a surprise victory over South Group leaders Hampshire as half-centuries from Daniel Bell-Drummond and Sam Billings proved decisive. The Spitfires chased down a target with relative comfort, moving them up the table and dealing Hampshire's title hopes a significant blow.

At Chesterfield, Yorkshire produced a remarkable late surge against Derbyshire. After the home side posted 215-9 with Wayne Madsen hitting 62, the visitors looked doomed at 179-8 needing 37 from two overs. Matthew Revis launched four sixes in consecutive overs before scrambling the tying single from the final ball, creating the first tie of this season's competition.

Nottinghamshire seized top spot by beating Leicestershire by 74 runs at Grace Road. George Munsey continued his excellent form with an unbeaten 75, his third straight half-century, while George Linde blasted 55 from just 22 balls. The Outlaws' total of 209-4 proved too much for a Leicestershire side that managed only brief resistance through Rehan Ahmed's 45 and Ben Mike's 39.

The results shake up the South Group standings significantly, with Kent's win over the leaders and Yorkshire's dramatic tie keeping both teams firmly in playoff contention. Nottinghamshire's consistent form puts them in the box seat for the knockout stages.
