Sunrisers Leeds kept their slim qualification hopes alive in The Hundred women's competition with a five-wicket victory over London Spirit at Headingley.

Australia all-rounder Annabel Sutherland was instrumental, leading Sunrisers' pursuit of 137 with an unbeaten 37 off 21 balls. Despite a strong start and a mid-innings wobble where they lost three wickets for two runs, Sutherland, alongside captain Dani Gibson and a crucial 13 off five balls from Jess Jonassen, guided Sunrisers to victory with two balls to spare.

Earlier, Sunrisers' bowlers impressed in the latter half of Spirit's innings. Grace Harris' 51 had put the home side in contention, but a rain delay seemed to disrupt their momentum. Spirit lost six wickets for 35 runs after the break, with Sutherland taking the key wicket of Marizanne Kapp and spinners Deepti Sharma and Hannah Baker claiming two wickets each.

The win elevates Sunrisers to fourth in the table, though they remain six points behind third-placed Manchester Super Giants. London Spirit, with only one win in five games, are now on the brink of elimination.
