Storm Stacey made an electrifying North West 200 debut by securing two wins in his first road racing appearance. The 23-year-old British Superbike talent outdueled local hero Michael Dunlop on the final lap of the Superstock race before adding the blue ribband Superbike title. His performance marked him as the first rider to win on debut since Christian Elkin in 2007.

Stacey's achievements were overshadowed by the death of Czech rider Kamil Holan during qualifying. The 48-year-old became the 20th fatality in the event's 97-year history. In tribute, Stacey auctioned his debutant vest for £3500, with proceeds going to Holan's family, highlighting the road racing community's unity during tragedy.

Elsewhere, 62-year-old Jeremy McWilliams became the oldest winner in North West 200 history, breaking his own record. Dean Harrison endured a frustrating day with multiple podiums but no wins, missing out on victory despite strong performances across three different race classes.
