Sione Fukofuka stepped down as Scotland Women head coach, citing "stress and strain" from being away from his family in Australia.

He requested a compassionate release from his contract, explaining that the 12‑month plan to relocate his family was no longer viable after his wife's parents fell ill, and the distance was too great.

Despite enjoying his time in Scotland and valuing the opportunity, Fukofuka said the sacrifice had become unsustainable, especially for his young children who were missing his presence.
