Pakistan batsman Salman Agha has been reprimanded by the ICC for his angry reaction to a controversial run-out against Bangladesh. The incident occurred during Friday's one-day international when Agha attempted to pick up the ball at the non-striker's end, only for Bangladesh captain Mehidy to get there first and hit the stumps.

Agha, who had scored a fine 64 off 62 balls, gestured angrily as he left the field after being given out by third umpire Kumar Dharmasena. The Pakistan batsman later criticized Mehidy's actions, saying he would have shown more "sportsman spirit" in the situation. His comments echoed similar sentiments expressed when England's Jonny Bairstow was run out by Australia's Alex Carey during the 2023 Ashes.

Agha was found to have breached Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players, relating to "abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an international match." Despite the controversy, Pakistan went on to win the match by 128 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method, leveling the best-of-three series at 1-1.
