Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend confirmed Finn Russell will miss Saturday's Nations Championship opener against Argentina as he recovers from a calf injury that ended his Bath season. The experienced fly-half, 33, hasn't regained full fitness for the Cordoba test at Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes. Tom Jordan starts at No. 10 instead, with Fergus Burke providing backup from the bench.

Townsend welcomed back lock Jonny Gray after the second-rower missed this year's Six Nations through injury.
