Jon Rahm holds a one-shot lead entering the final round of the Abu Dhabi Championship at Yas Links. The 31-year-old Spaniard carded a six-under-par 66 on Saturday to move clear of overnight co-leaders Francesco Laporta and Tyrrell Hatton. Rory Mc Ilroy sits four shots back after a 67, while Adam Scott and Matthew Jordan share fifth on 15 under.
Reigning Masters champion Mc Ilroy remains in hot pursuit, though he acknowledges needing a mid-to-low 60s score to reel in Rahm. Hatton, who briefly shared the lead, is eager for a head-to-head showdown with his Ryder Cup teammate on Sunday. Rahm, chasing his first solo title since the 2023 Masters, finished the third round without a dropped shot.
Laporta, seeking his first DP World Tour title, also carded a bogey-free 67. Elsewhere, Adam Scott remained bogey-free for the tournament and sits fifth, while Englishman Matthew Jordan is a shot further back alongside Spain's David Puig.
