QPR have secured Pierce Charles on a season‑long loan from Manchester City after his recent transfer to the Premier League club. The 20‑year‑old signed a five‑year contract extending to 2031 with the Championship side for the 2026‑27 campaign.

Charles progressed through Manchester City’s academy before joining Sheffield Wednesday in 2021. He debuted in an FA Cup tie against Coventry City in 2024 and earned the number one jersey for the 2025‑26 season, making 21 appearances across all competitions. The young keeper has also earned 12 senior caps for Northern Ireland, representing the nation at every youth level.

For QPR, the move injects youthful energy into the goalkeeping department and offers the club an experienced international who can contribute immediately. The acquisition also signals QPR’s intent to bolster the squad for a promotion push, while giving Charles regular game time to continue his development.

Charles noted that the loan "fits my stage in my career right now" and that he is eager to "play games, especially when you’re young."
