Sebastian Musson, the Derbyshire teenager with one hand, is making history as a four-time British Para-climbing champion with his sights set on gold at the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games. The 19-year-old currently ranks third in the world, defying expectations with his remarkable climbing ability.

Musson's journey began in 2018 when a rainy day redirected him from rugby training to a climbing center, where he was noticed by coach Anita Aggarwal. "I go up climbs where people themselves can't go up, and I'm doing it without a hand," he explains, highlighting how climbing has transformed him from an introverted youth to an outgoing competitor.

After winning silver at the European Championships in 2024 and bronze at World Cup events, Musson is focused on his Paralympic dream that began when he was just four years old watching the London 2012 Games. His coach credits climbing's inclusive nature for empowering athletes regardless of physical limitations.
