Despite trailing for all but three minutes of the contest, Leeds held their nerve to snatch a late victory. Wakefield had built a 16-0 lead through tries from Isaiah Vagana, Caleb Hamlin-Uele, and Jayden Myers, all converted by Jack Sinfield.

But Leeds Rhinos fought back, with Brodie Croft scoring and then a stunning second-half comeback.\n\nCam Smith powered through to make it 22-18, and with three minutes left, Jake Connor's grubber kick was pounced on by Chris Hankinson to level the scores. Connor then slotted the conversion from the touchline to seal the win. The victory delivered a major step towards a top-two finish for Leeds with five games remaining in the regular season, and with a points difference of over 200 points on Wakefield and Wigan, their lead at the top is effectively five points.\n\nA home semi-final looks assured, and if they can repeat this form in the post-season, a genuine Grand Final appearance could follow.
