Formula 1 driver Lando Norris, teenage darts sensation Luke Littler, and the England women's football team headline the nominees for the 2025 Laureus World Sports Awards. Norris earned his Breakthrough of the Year nomination after claiming the Formula 1 driver's title in a dramatic final-race decider in Abu Dhabi. Littler, at just 18, became the youngest player to complete darts' Triple Crown by winning the world championship, Premier League, and World Matchplay titles.

The Lionesses secured their place among the Team of the Year contenders following their European Championship victory against Spain in a penalty shootout. They join the European Ryder Cup golf team, who claimed their first win on US soil since 2012, and McLaren, the Formula 1 constructors champions. Arsenal captain Leah Williamson received a Comeback of the Year nomination after leading England to a second consecutive Euros title while also guiding her club to Champions League glory following recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Other notable nominees include Armand Duplantis, nominated for Sportsman of the Year after winning his third consecutive outdoor world title and setting four world records, and Aitana Bonmati, who could repeat her 2024 success in the Sportswoman of the Year category. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Madrid on 20 April, recognizing outstanding achievements across all sports disciplines.
