Lauren Price has confirmed her next welterweight title defence will be in Cardiff on 4 April. The unified world champion turned down a return to London's Royal Albert Hall to fight in front of a home crowd at the Utilita Arena. This follows a dominant points win over Natasha Jonas last March.

The former Olympic gold medallist has been inactive since securing the WBA, WBC, and IBF belts, citing boxing politics for the delay. She now aims to build momentum and follow legends like Joe Calzaghe by headlining in Wales. The event will be promoted by Boxxer's Ben Shalom.

Price, unbeaten in nine professional fights, has resumed sparring and is focused on a strong showing for her Welsh fans. Her long-term ambition is to sell out stadiums and become an undisputed champion. The April date marks a crucial homecoming for the 31-year-old from Bargoed.
