Kieran McGeeney has been ratified as Armagh manager for the 2027 season, marking his 13th year in charge. He will continue as the longest-serving inter-county manager.

McGeeney, who initially joined Paul Grimley's management team in 2014 before becoming manager in 2015, recently led Armagh to the 2024 All-Ireland title, a significant achievement following his captaincy win in 2002.

His 12th season saw Armagh claim their first Ulster title since 2008, defeating Monaghan in the final. Despite previous near misses in the Ulster Championship, including penalty shootout losses to Derry and Donegal, and an extra-time defeat to Donegal, Armagh secured the Anglo-Celt Cup.

Their 2026 All-Ireland campaign ended with defeats to Louth and Kerry. As a player, McGeeney was a decorated figure, winning six Ulster titles.
