Jac Morgan has thrown his full support behind Dewi Lake's continued captaincy of the Wales rugby team. The flanker returned to action in the 33-31 victory over Barbarians at Twickenham's Allianz Stadium, an uncapped warm-up ahead of the Nations Championship. Morgan, who is set to join Gloucester, missed eight Tests after suffering a shoulder injury during Steve Tandy's first match in charge at the Principality Stadium.

His comeback appearance saw him assume the captain's armband at halftime when Lake was substituted. "I love being back," Morgan said. "It's always an honour to put the jersey on and I was chuffed to be back in the field with the boys." The win provided momentum heading into the tournament opener against Fiji at Cardiff City Stadium.

Morgan believes the squad has shown clear improvement under Tandy's leadership. "You can see during the Six Nations we're getting better every game," he noted. "You could see the identity we were trying to bring through." While eager to play, he praised the team's performance during his absence.

Wales face Fiji, then travel to Argentina and South Africa in the Nations Championship. Morgan's return strengthens the back-row options for these challenging fixtures.
