Harry Redknapp's Jukebox Man Eyes Cheltenham Gold Cup Glory

Harry Redknapp's horse Jukebox Man will compete in the Cheltenham Gold Cup after winning the King George VI Chase in December. The former Tottenham manager, whose love of horse racing began with his grandmother's illegal bookmaking in London's East End, is chasing jump racing's most prestigious prize. Redknapp described his Boxing Day victory as entering the Champions League of horse racing.

Jukebox Man faces tough competition including Gaelic Warrior, Jango Baie, Haiti Couleur, and last year's winner Inothewayurthinkin. Redknapp, who co-owns shares in 26 horses, said just having a runner in the Gold Cup is 'a dream come true.' His grandmother would take bets and tell him to 'stick a pen in a couple' for her daily wagers.

The 79-year-old is also linked to a potential return to Tottenham Hotspur if interim manager Igor Tudor is sacked. Spurs have lost all four games since Tudor's appointment and sit one point above the Premier League relegation zone. Redknapp managed Spurs from 2008 to 2012, leading them to their first Champions League appearance.
