Haas reveals 2026 F1 car first as rules overhaul looms

Haas has become the first Formula 1 team to unveil its 2026 car, releasing digital renders of the VF26. The design shows a narrower front wing and a fin on the engine cover, previewing the new, smaller, and more aerodynamically focused cars. The team finished eighth in the 2025 constructors' championship.

The 2026 season brings the sport's biggest regulation change in decades. Power units will see electric components provide up to 50% of total power, running on sustainable fuel. Teams like Red Bull have only shown show cars, while Cadillac's private test car also featured a similar engine-cover fin.

Team principal Ayao Komatsu acknowledges the immense challenge for F1's smallest team. Energy management will be a huge focus, with the electrical systems depleting and recharging multiple times per lap. He expects a dynamic season with a pecking order that could shift dramatically after the first few races.
