Great Britain's mixed 4x400m relay team claimed bronze at the World Athletics Relays in Botswana, with Alex Haydock-Wilson, Lina Nielsen, Jake Minshull and Yemi Mary John clocking 3:08.24 for the podium finish behind USA and Jamaica.

Five British teams automatically qualified for the 2027 World Championships in Beijing, including the men's 4x100m, women's 4x400m and mixed 4x100m squads. The mixed team's bronze also secures their spot at September's inaugural Ultimate Championships in Budapest.

The women's 4x100m relay earned a second chance through repechage after an earlier disqualification, while the men's 4x400m and other finalists failed to complete their races. Despite winning medals in all five Paris Olympics relay events, British athletics couldn't reach the podium at last year's Tokyo World Championships.
