Former UFC light-heavyweight title contender Anthony Smith has been arrested in Nebraska on three felony charges. The 38-year-old was booked into Sarpy County Jail facing charges of terroristic threats, false imprisonment, and first-degree domestic violence assault.

Smith is currently in custody and is expected to appear before a judge by Friday. He last competed in the UFC in April, losing to Zhang Mingyang, and also participated in Gamebred Bareknuckle later that month. Smith's career in the UFC began in 2016, and he fought a total of 24 times for the promotion, holding an overall MMA record of 39 wins and 22 defeats. He also challenged Jon Jones for the UFC light-heavyweight title in 2019.

In addition to his fighting career, Smith has also been working as an analyst on UFC broadcasts.
