British forward Deane Williams is one victory from securing a domestic quadruple in his debut season with the London Lions. The 29-year-old, who has played professionally across six European nations, helped the Lions clinch the SLB league title with a 12-point lead. They already secured the SLB Trophy and Cup, setting up a clean sweep bid.

Williams' journey took him from Bath to Augusta University and stints in Iceland, France, Germany, Italy, and Poland. His return to British basketball fulfills a personal goal of playing at home, ending a decade of missed family events. He was named foreign player of the year in Iceland and won the 2023 Champions League with Telekom Baskets Bonn.

A SLB Team of the Year and Defensive Team of the Year honoree, Williams also earned his first two Great Britain caps. The Lions face Cheshire Phoenix in the SLB play-off final at the O2 Arena on Sunday. Victory would seal an unprecedented quadruple, marking a significant rise for both player and franchise in the British basketball landscape.
