Clayton established an early 5-1 lead, capitalizing on Price's missed doubles. Despite a brief comeback attempt by Price, who won three consecutive legs, Clayton secured the victory with a 124 checkout. "It was great to play in the final with my World Cup partner," said Clayton. "It just shows that two rugby boys can play darts... I've got a smile on my face."

Price, who had defeated Damon Heta and Raymond Smith to reach the final, acknowledged his performance wasn't his best. "I missed a load of doubles, but take nothing away from Jonny - he played brilliantly," Price commented. The World Series of Darts regular season concludes with the Australian Darts Masters next weekend, followed by the Finals in Amsterdam from September 17-20.
