Billionaire owners of Bournemouth, Black Knight Football Club, are on the brink of taking a stake in Exeter Chiefs, according to a BBC report. The move follows the 2022 acquisition of Bournemouth and signals a wave of new capital entering English rugby.

Exeter’s chairman Tony Rowe, who has steered the club for three decades, welcomed the prospect of fresh money. Black Knight board member Ryan Caswell met with Rowe after Exeter’s 35‑28 loss to Northampton, signalling serious intent.
