Birmingham Panthers secured a 67-43 victory over Leeds Rhinos in their final Netball Super League fixture, a win that spared them the wooden spoon. With relegation hanging on the result, the Panthers delivered when it mattered most to finish seventh in the eight-team table.

The visitors controlled proceedings from the outset, building a 17-11 first-quarter lead before extending to 31-18 at halftime. Despite Leeds trimming the gap to 12 points midway through the third period, Birmingham responded emphatically. Betsy Creak led the scoring with 49 goals, anchoring a clinical attacking display that proved too much for the home side.

This marked only the Panthers' third league win all season, though they finished with momentum after back-to-back victories. Their previous triumph came against London Mavericks in a narrow 52-51 result on Sunday, suggesting a late-season revival when the pressure was on.

For Leeds, the defeat capped a miserable campaign that yielded just one victory. Their opening-day success against Birmingham in February proved their only bright spot in an otherwise winless run. The Rhinos will need significant rebuilding ahead of next season.
