The 2026 Tour of Britain Men has revealed its route, kicking off in Lincolnshire on 2 September. Lincoln hosts the opening stage, a loop that will test riders on the cobbled climb of Michaelgate. The second leg runs from Boston to Skegness along the coast.

Stage three takes the peloton to Hull before heading into the Wolds, finishing in Beverley, East Yorkshire. Stage four launches in Helmsley, North Yorkshire, and ends in Leyburn. The final stage crosses into the Scottish Borders, starting and finishing in Earlston for the first time in the event’s history.

Jonathan Day, director of events for British Cycling Ventures, said the lineup would inspire more people to ride and live healthier lives. Lincoln, home to the long‑running Lincoln Grand Prix and its 656‑ft cobbled climb, adds prestige to the opening stage. Previous visits to East Riding and Hull set the stage for this expanded itinerary.

Organisers will release detailed stage routes in the coming weeks, alongside host locations for the women’s race. The 2026 edition promises to stretch riders across England’s heartland and the Scottish Borders, delivering fresh challenges for the world’s elite. Fans can expect a blend of flat sprints, rolling hills, and historic cobbles that will test tactics and endurance.
