WSL 2026-27: Key Dates, Teams, Signings & How to Watch

London City Lionesses host Manchester United on Friday night (19:00 BST) to kick off the 2026-27 Women's Super League season. With more teams competing and high-profile signings, there is plenty to follow as domestic double champions Manchester City attempt to retain their title.

The league expands from 12 to 14 teams, with Birmingham City, Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic promoted from WSL 2, while Leicester City were relegated. The full list includes Arsenal, Aston Villa, Brighton, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, London City Lionesses, Manchester United, Tottenham, and West Ham.

Each team plays 26 matches, totaling 182 fixtures, from Friday, 4 September until Saturday, 22 May 2027, with a winter break from 21 December to 10 January. The Women's FA Cup final is on 15 May 2027.

The BBC will show 25 WSL matches, including Chelsea v Aston Villa on 5 September, with new segment The Women's Football Fallout. Sky Sports shows most matches, and selected games stream free on the WSL YouTube channel.
