West Ham's Summerville Emerges as Premier League Savior

Crysencio Summerville delivered a crucial performance for West Ham, scoring the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage. The Dutchman's 65th-minute strike marked his fifth Premier League goal this season and continued the Hammers' fight for survival in 2026. West Ham supporters erupted in celebration as their team gained two points on 17th-place Nottingham Forest.

Summerville's resurgence has been remarkable. Since joining from Leeds United 18 months ago, he struggled with form and confidence, managing just one goal in his first 38 appearances. However, the winger has now scored seven goals in his last 10 matches for the club. Speaking to TNT Sports after the match, Summerville said: "We have to fight until the end, that's what we did. I am very pleased to get the three points."

West Ham's momentum extends beyond Summerville's individual form. The team has accumulated 14 of their 28 points this season in their past eight Premier League games. This impressive run means that if they defeat Manchester City on March 14, they will climb out of the relegation zone for the first time since December. Manager Nuno Espirito Santo's side appears to be finding its footing at the perfect time.
