Roy Keane's appearance at Celtic Park following Sunday's defeat by Rangers has sparked speculation about Martin O'Neill's future as manager. However, Keane made it abundantly clear on the Stick to Football podcast he would never attend a game with the ulterior motive of replacing a manager. Despite this, many believe the Celtic board should consider O'Neill's exit, as the club's management style leaves little ruled out.

Findlay Marshall of Aberdeen expressed relief at not being sent out on loan. Keane, speaking to Celtic AM after the loss, acknowledged the 'ups and downs of football'. Martin O'Neill, while publicly defending Celtic's summer recruitment, privately admitted the current squad is weaker compared to the end of last season.

With O'Neill's last management job being 15 years ago, the idea of Keane returning to the role seems far-fetched, yet Celtic's approach to management suggests nothing should be ruled out entirely.
