As the 2026-27 Premier League season approaches, numerous players who featured in the English top flight last season are still without clubs. Some notable names include John Stones, who departed Manchester City after a decade of success, and Mohamed Salah, whose relationship with Liverpool boss Arne Slot reportedly soured, leading to his departure. Salah has been linked with a move to Turkish club Besiktas.

Jadon Sancho, after a challenging period at Manchester United and loan spells, has reportedly received an offer from Qatari side Al-Rayyan. Mali midfielder Yves Bissouma is keen on staying in the Premier League, with Fulham showing interest. Goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, formerly of Manchester City, is close to a move to Greek side Olympiacos. Dutch left-back Tyrell Malacia's time at Manchester United was significantly hampered by injuries, and Adama Traore was released by West Ham after a short stint.

Other Premier League players currently out of contract include Solly March, Adam Webster, and Joel Veltman from Brighton & Hove Albion, Nathaniel Clyne from Crystal Palace, Seamus Coleman from Everton, Emil Krafth from Newcastle United, and Willy Boly from Nottingham Forest. Bertrand Traore is also seeking a new club after his time at Sunderland.
