Nottingham Forest have made an enquiry for Sporting CP centre-back Ousmane Diomande. Sources in Portugal indicate that the Premier League club has expressed interest in the Ivory Coast international, though no official bid has been submitted.

Diomande has a release clause of £68.2m, but it is understood he could be available for a lower fee this summer. New Forest manager Oliver Glasner is reportedly leading the pursuit, having previously been interested in Diomande during his time at Crystal Palace.

Despite his young age, Diomande has amassed over 150 senior appearances, including 15 caps for his national team and a World Cup appearance. He has previously been a target for Chelsea and linked with several other European clubs. Forest, who narrowly avoided relegation, have yet to make new signings but have offloaded Elliot Anderson and David Carmo.
