AC Milan midfielder Luka Modric, who will turn 41 in September, has signed a one-year contract extension with the Italian club. Modric brings a wealth of experience to AC Milan, having previously won six Champions League titles and four La Liga titles during 13 years at Real Madrid. Recently, he captained Croatia in their fifth World Cup appearance, having previously led them to a runners-up finish and a third-place finish in the tournament. AC Milan highlighted Modric as "a key figure" who has brought "experience and quality" to the team, expressing ambition for "new, important milestones."
