Konstantinos Tzolakis delivered an excellent debut with commanding saves, earning an eight as Hull City stunned Manchester United. Semi Ajayi proved decisive, landing in the right place to smash home a rebound. Marked nine, it was his first Premier League goal since January 2021, establishing himself as a rock at the back. Nobel Mendy also netted a debut goal, capping a fine display with an eight alongside Matt Crooks.

For Manchester United, Senne Lammens made two good saves before blocking Mc Burnie’s effort, remaining at seven despite the defeat. Harry Maguire endured a tough day on his return to Hull, managing a six but unable to inspire teammates. Young defender Ayden Heaven got outmuscled by Mc Burnie, while Luke Shaw hugged the touchline.

The visitors’ midfield struggled. Andrey Santos’s competitive debut passed him by as he was dominated centrally. Youri Tielemans showed slick passing but played high balls into uncompetable areas. Bruno Fernandes tried but was nowhere near his best, while substitute Marcus Rashford immediately ran at the Hull defence.
