City have also enquired about England midfielder Adam Wharton, 22, but Crystal Palace have rebuffed their approach. Tottenham are eyeing France striker Jean-Philippe Mateta, 29, from Crystal Palace. Inter Milan are interested in signing Brazil forward Gabriel Martinelli, 25, from Arsenal.

AC Milan are focused on signing a centre-back, with Manchester City's Portugal defender Ruben Dias, 29, emerging as a potential target. Bayer Leverkusen's Burkina Faso centre-back Edmond Tapsoba, 27, is a leading defensive target for Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle. France defender Axel Disasi, 28, is closing in on a loan move from Chelsea to Crystal Palace.

Barcelona have yet to make an offer for Argentina striker Lautaro Martinez, 28, and Inter would not look to sell regardless. Barca are also considering Spain forward Ayoze Perez, 33, and Georgia forward Georges Mikautadze, 25, both of Villarreal. Liverpool, Everton and Leeds United are among clubs monitoring Midtjylland's 22-year-old Chile winger Dario Osorio.

Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest are considering a move for Chelsea's English striker Liam Delap, 23. Manchester United are concentrating on signing a new left-back, with Racing Santander's 19-year-old Spaniard Jorge Salinas a candidate, as Newcastle are not inclined to sell England left-back Lewis Hall, 21.
