England defender Jess Carter, Arsenal's Eberechi Eze, and Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi have been named to the Football Black List 2025 for their off-field contributions. The annual celebration honors black figures across football. Carter, who faced racist abuse during England's Euro 2025 victory, has been praised as "a powerful advocate for cultural change and accountability."

Eze, 27, earned recognition for his foundation empowering south London's youth through education and sport. Iwobi, 29, supports underserved communities via football tournaments and mentorship programs. This year marks a milestone as the list features more women than men for the first time, with nine categories representing various aspects of the sport.

Co-founder Leon Mann emphasized that while progress has been made, "there is still work to do to improve representation in leadership and coaching." The list is selected by expert panels including representatives from the Premier League, FA, and anti-discrimination groups. Recognition of Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada reflects growing diversity at the highest levels of English football.
